  • Keep communication in documented channels whenever possible.

Before you meet

  • Schedule viewings during daytime and prefer public or occupied locations.
  • Tell a family member or friend where you are going and who you are meeting.
  • Bring someone with you for first meetings whenever possible.

Before you pay

  • Do not send reservation fees or deposits without proper documentation and due diligence.
  • Confirm account details directly with the licensed broker or official agency contact.
  • Request official receipts and keep all payment records.

Red Flags

  • Pressure to pay immediately to "reserve" a property without proper paperwork.
  • Refusal to arrange a property viewing or provide verifiable details.
  • Requests for OTPs, passwords, or sensitive personal account credentials.
  • Attempts to move the entire transaction to untraceable channels only.
  • Inconsistent identity details, license details, or ownership claims.
